Properties: white gravel solid, relative density 1.561, soluble in water, the aqueous solution is alkaline reaction; insoluble in ethanol, in humid air and sunlight under the action of easy oxidation, for strong reducing agent.

This product has deliquescence, not suitable for long storage.
Use:
1, sodium sulfite for water treatment: used in electroplating wastewater, printing and dyeing wastewater, power plant wastewater and other industrial wastewater, drinking water treatment, and used as a boiler water deoxidizer and dechlorination agent.
2. Sodium sulfite is used in metallurgical mines: it is used in metallurgical industry to reduce gold; it is used as flotation agent and mineral processing agent for non-ferrous metal ores in mining industry.
